Prince Jared Grimes was born in New York City on April 24, 1987. For the majority of his life he resided in Prince George's County, Maryland just outside of Washington D.C. Growing up, Prince was a huge fan of sports. He played rec league basketball, backyard football, and high school varsity baseball. Prince's television was rarely turned away from the sports channels. Whether keeping up with his favorite professional teams or just watching whatever game was on, Prince began looking at the reporters on the TV and radio with a different eye. They shared the same passion for sports as he did. He began wondering, how did they get to where they are? and how do I get there? In 2005, Prince graduated high school and went to North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina to major in electronic media & journalism. Since then, he has covered basketball, football, volleyball, baseball and other non-athletic events as a reporter for the school newspaper, "The A&T Register." He eventually became the editor for the entire sports page. He has written, shot, and produced several packages and most recently Prince has interned at ABC 11 Eyewitness news. Prince was able to learn from some of the best sports reporters and photographers in the business while at ABC. As of December 2010, Prince is a graduate of North Carolina A&T. |
